The park needs our help now more than ever!

With the wildfires that struck this week, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison is facing damage that will take years to fully heal. When the flames are finally out, the hard work of rebuilding will begin: restoring trails, repairing campgrounds, replacing vital structures, and bringing back the spaces that make this park so special.

That’s why our top priority right now is raising funds to support these efforts. Every contribution helps ensure the park is ready to welcome visitors again, stronger and more resilient than ever.

Join us in standing with Black Canyon. Together, we can help rebuild what’s been lost and protect this remarkable place for generations to come.

Building Our Volunteer Community

One of our top priorities at Friends of the Black Canyon is growing our volunteer base and getting more people involved in our upcoming events. Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the park through conservation efforts, community outreach, and special events. Whether you’re passionate about protecting public lands, eager to lend a helping hand, or just looking to connect with like-minded individuals, there’s a place for you in our volunteer community.

Join us at an upcoming event and be a part of something bigger—your support makes a lasting impact!
